GE units in Israel, Lebanon impacted by ongoing conflict
GE Healthcare has released a statement indicating that its offices in Haifa, Israel, at this time remain operational despite the heavy conflict in the nearby region that is ongoing. The company’s offices in Israel are part of its nuclear imaging and MR business. GE also maintains subcontractor offices for applications trainings and services in Lebanon which are presently closed.

“GE offices in Lebanon will remain closed until further notice and we will continue to work closely with national and international authorities regarding any evacuation plans,” GE said in a statement. “Our offices in Haifa had been operating in emergency mode, providing essential service support functions. However, we are obviously in close contact with both the local northern Israel authorities and the country-wide Israel Homeland Security Command and in line with their guidelines we resumed full and normal work operations on Sunday, July 23rd.”

GE purchased the nuclear medicine and MR medical imaging businesses of Elscint Ltd. in 1998.
