GE Healthcare unveiled a program for low dose CT imaging called GE Blueprint during an announcement June 21 at North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System (North Shore-LIJ).

The program features dose reduction technology, education and process adjustments designed to help providers reduce patient radiation dose from CT.

GE Blueprint is based on the model set by North Shore-LIJ, which during the same event, announced it would be incorporating 16 new GE low-dose CT systems with the ultimate goal of making all scanners in the health system low dose, according to Michael Dowling, North Shore-LIJ Health System president and CEO.
