GE unveils suite of Centricity products
Dec. 5 – GE Healthcare unveiled a suite of Centricity solutions targeted for hospitals and outpatient imaging centers at the 93rd scientific assembly and annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago last week.
Building on Centricity’s business process and advanced clinical capabilities, the suite provides the robust web-based accessibility of IntegradWeb solutions recently acquired from Dynamic Imaging. Centricity Radiology-IW for hospitals is the first product to result from the Dynamic Imaging acquisition and will offer web-based portability, instantaneous image reporting and scalable business processes.
Centricity RIS/PACS-IW (formerly IntegradWeb RIS/PACS) for outpatient imaging centers leverages Dynamic Imaging’s web-based, single-desktop solution to drive practice efficiency, productivity for the radiologist and immediate results access for the referring physician. The system is designed to foster a more collaborative approach to patient care and provider partnerships.
Also new from GE is Centricity OutReach-IW for distribution of imaging results. Centricity Outreach-IW brings web-based distribution to current Centricity customers offering referring physicians anywhere access to images and reports within a web browser. Centricity Outreach-IW is expected to be available in 2008, GE said.
Other new Centricity solutions on display included Centricity Imaging for Physician Office and Centricity PACS-IW. The company emphasized its commitment to maintaining Centricity and Centricity IW products.
