Glenwood delivers free EMR
Healthcare information technology firm Glenwood Systems has released GlaceEMR 2.0, a free, web-supported electronic medical record (EMR) system. There are no charges, costs, or fees for licenses, software support, or upgrades for GlaceEMR 2.0; ad-revenue supports the product, according to the Waterbury, Conn.-based company.

GlaceEMR certified as an ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) in 2006 by the Chicago-based Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT), Glenwood said.

The product has specialty modules for internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, cardiology, neurology, psychiatry, pulmonology, pain management, general surgery, orthopedics, urology and ENT, the firm said. In addition, it automatically imports lab results and radiology images and attaches them to patient records.
