Hand Held partners with Bio-Optronics
Hand Held Products unveiled a handheld PDA version of AdministratOR, Bio-Optronic’s bar-coded medication administration solution, at HIMSS07 in New Orleans. Hand Held partnered with Bio-Optronics to provide a bundled point of care solution to the midsize hospital and long-term care market. The two companies demonstrate the application on the Dolphin 7600, 7900 and 9500 Mobile Computers.
AdministratOR is a cost-effective bar-coded point of care solution which ensures that mid-size hospitals and long-term care facilities can afford to comply with the ‘5 Rights of Patient Safety’, which states that the right patient receives the right drug, at the right time, in the right dosage and in the right form. AdministratOR customers can now select from several platforms to best suit their needs: tablet computers, laptops on medication carts, or the new handheld module. In addition, AdministratOR’s handheld version enables point of care providers to track specimen collection and vital sign monitoring.
