Harborview Medical Center to connect with Trestle's MedMicro
Digital imaging and telemedicine firm Trestle Holdings Inc. announced that Harborview Medical Center (HMC), a 368-bed patient care, teaching and research facility located in Seattle has purchased MedMicro.

HMC, managed by the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC), will use MedMicro to connect its neuropathology lab to the Internet, allowing HMC neuropathologists to interactively view and navigate slides in real-time from any remote location with Internet access.

Currently, neurosurgery is performed at HMC and UWMC with the same neuropathologist group serving both locations. With the implementation of MedMicro, the neuropathologists will perform consultations without having to travel between the two facilities.

Trestle Holdings develops and markets digital imaging and telemedicine applications to the life sciences markets. The company's products -- MedReach, MedMicro and MedScan -- link dispersed users with each other, information databases and analytical tools.
