HCG releases new transportable, modular MRI facility
It’s not quite MRI in a box, but HCG Building Technologies recently introduced its transportable modular MRI buildings to the market. Each unit is fully featured and upon arrival to the designated site the required MRI equipment is completely installed and set up for use once it is calibrated. The modular units also require little onsite installation disruption, fast equipment set-up, and a steel-frame structure, the company said.

HCG’s first release in the transportable modular MRI facility line has dimensions of 15 x 48-foot structure containing patient scanning and control rooms, patient prep area, technologist workstation, and telecommunications area. Under the hood, so to speak, will be an Achieva 1.5-tesla system from Philips.
