HHS awards BearingPoint contract for Program Management
Management and technology consulting firm BearingPoint Inc. announced Tuesday that it has been awarded a $13.7 million, four-year contract to provide program management services to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The contract is valued at $3.4 million in its base year and includes three one-year options.

- Program Management - including planning support, contract management support, and portfolio management to keep projects timely and on budget;
- Communications Infrastructure – including the development of a communications portal and additional communications infrastructure activities for information exchange between industry and government;
- The company will act as an advisor as-needed to support ONC in health-IT related matters; and
- Also, BearingPoint will provide services to support event planning and management for large scale meetings, such as the Nationwide Health Information Network Forum.
