Vendors are showcasing improved efficiency, better communications and streamlined workflow at HIMSS08. From tools that help organizations find uncollected revenue and systems that track patients and supplies, to assistance with documentation and reports, electronic systems are taking on the biggest practice management challenges. HIMSS-goers are sure to find ways to improve practices of any size. 


Amicas (Booth 6951) is displaying Vision Series Financials, a next-generation, Windows-based system designed to automate revenue cycle management. “CashFinder” technology reveals uncollected revenue with the use of sophisticated work queues.

Amicas also is demonstrating Vision Series Document Management, an enterprise document management solution that provides electronic capture, storage, and management.


Compressus (Booth 6773) is announcing several MEDxConnect product line expansions, including Study Routing Management, which lets radiologists review and diagnose any study from any workstation. The advanced new routing by the MEDxConnect Medical Message Mediator (the M3), in conjunction with the MEDxConnect Virtual Worklist, is capable of automatically placing data.

Compressus also is showcasing a new integration of the MEDxConnect System to Philips iSite. Expanding the MEDxConnect Demographic xInterface, the integration includes an interface to the Philips iSite.


DB Technology (Booth 442) is demonstrating its report automation system (RAS) software, a low-cost automated information solution that works with existing hardware and software to streamline processes. RAS transform data, captured from patient registration to remittance, into actionable information.


Eclipsys (Booth 2063) is featuring Sunrise Enterprise, its suite of enterprise solutions that help improve clinical, financial and operational outcomes. Sunrise Enterprise helps improve communication, enhance usability and facilitate more rapid physician adoption. The underlying Eclipsys XA architecture and ObjectsPlus/XA application development technology integrate financial, clinical and access solutions.


GE Healthcare (Booth 737) is displaying its Centricity Practice Solution which provides integrated clinical and financial solutions. The company’s Referring Practice Online system lets providers stay in touch with patients throughout the care continuum. Improved access and convenience will help practices retain referring providers and build revenue.


McKesson (Booth 3035) is showcasing its Horizon Radiology Manager workflow management solution that tracks and manages patients, films and supplies. The web-based, feature-rich Horizon Radiology Manager has a full range of modules for acute care and outpatient radiology departments, including order management, mammography, electronic signature, and management reporting tools.


RelayHealth (Booth 2663) is introducing Results Distribution Service, which connects hospital lab, pathology and radiology results to a physician’s office. Physicians also can take action with the results by forwarding to the patient’s PHR or to collaborate with other physicians. 
 

Sage Software Healthcare (Booth 4001) is launching the Intergy by Sage practice management system version 4.0 and introducing the Enterprise Desktop. The optional Intergy Enterprise Desktop includes enterprise billing, remittance, and payment posting. The Intergy by Sage practice management system integrates fully with the Intergy EHR by Sage and Practice Analytics by Sage.


Siemens Medical Solutions (Booth 3763) has aligned with NextGen Healthcare for physician practice management and electronic medical records solutions. Soarian Disease Management is a web-based, workflow-driven solution for chronic care management that facilitates increased patient involvement.
