HIMSS: Infinitt helps customers reach meaningful use with new image viewing solution
Infinitt North America showcased its new OEM product, Infinitt Accent, at HIMSS10 in Atlanta.

The web-based viewing application can work with any vendor’s EMR, RIS/HIS or physician portal and allows for quick loading and access to various types of patient images, including EKGs, lab, oncology, and other non-DICOM images, said the Phillipsburg, N.J.-based company.

In addition, Infinitt said that caregivers can review the patient’s medical information alongside the images, simultaneously. The application meets HIPAA security and privacy requirements and to DICOM, HL7 and IHE standards.

The Accent has already been employed within an acute care hospital in New Jersey, which utilizes an Infinitt PACS for the management of its medical images, and a third party system for the management of patient data.

“By supporting information sharing and interoperability initiatives, hospitals are better qualified for ARRA stimulus dollars,” said the company. “The Infinitt Accent will improve productivity and quality of care by providing simple and comprehensive access to all types of patient images from within any vendors’ EMR, RIS/HIS or physician portal.”
