Hitachi Medical Systems America has announced its Supria 16-slice CT system has been cleared by the FDA.
In a statement announcing the clearance, Hitachi touted the Supria’s compact design, which allows it to be sited in a scan room as small as 200 sq. ft.
Despite the small overall size, the company notes it can accommodate a wide range of patient sizes with a 75cm gantry aperture and 1.8 meter scannable range table with 500 lb. capacity.
The scanner is also compliant with the XR-29 dose standards, according to the company.
