Hitachi Medical Systems America has introduced its Hi Vision Preirus ultrasound scanner to the U.S. market.

The ultrasound uses cell processor technology and “Smart Touch” operation on a touch screen integrated with an LCD display. It also includes multiple tranducers and supports imaging with optional features of real-time tissue elastography, stated the Tokyo-based company.
