Revenues increased to $49.9 million, up 2 percent from $49 million in the first quarter of FY04. The company also posted net income of $1 million, compared with a net loss of $1.1 million in the year-ago quarter.
Hologic installed 27 Selenia systems in the quarter and reported that its backlog of orders for the digital mammography system stood at 74, as of Dec. 27, 2003.
