iCAD showcases SecondLook, works in progress
iCAD highlighted its SecondLook suite and unveiled multiple works in progress at the 93rd scientific assembly and annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) last month in Chicago.

iCAD demonstrated its SecondLook suite of products, including developments that enable SecondLook Digital’s compatibility with all leading FFDM suppliers including GE Healthcare, Hologic, Siemens Medical Solutions, Sectra, PlanMed and IMS Giotto. Enhanced functionality for Siemens displays computer-aided detection (CAD) marks based on certainty of finding, provides enhanced view correlation tools and displays additional information about the region of interest marked by CAD.

iCAD also shared integrated CAD solutions for CR systems from Fujifilm Medical Systems and Agfa Healthcare. The Fuji solution is available outside the United States and is awaiting FDA approval. The Agfa solution is under development and will be initially available outside the U.S.

Additionally, iCAD previewed CAD solutions for use with virtual colonoscopy to improve the detection of colonic polyps. By focusing on identification capabilities, iCAD’s system for virtual colonoscopy is designed to assist in improving accuracy and workflow during the reading process. Finally, the company has revitalized its lung product and started the FDA submission process. A prostate solution is in the works as well, iCAD said, and could be available in three to five years.
