Imix, FusionOne to provide orthopedic DR solutions
Direct radiography (DR) developer Imix Americas has formed a partnership with FusionOne Electronic Healthcare to offer DR solutions for the orthopedic market.
The Sterling, Va.-based Imix and the Roselle, Ill.-based FusionOne said they will offer customizable digital imaging solutions for individual practices that can include an Imix DR system, FusionOne image management software, workstations, as well as solutions to meet archiving requirements.
The integrated systems are installed with no capital investment, only a set monthly fee, according to the firms. DR installation and service will be provided by Imix' network of imaging dealers, and the systems can be upgraded to accommodate growing practices.
The IMIXhorizon PanoRad is a fully functional DR system, designed for practices that require a compact DR solution and includes a motorized u-arm stand and remote control operation, as well as orthopedic imaging tools, such as a weight-bearing platform that allows imaging of patients' feet while standing.
The companies plan to showcase the PanoRad DR at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons 2009 annual meeting in Las Vegas this month.
