Ind. hospital joins Siemens’ low-dose program
Siemens Healthcare’s Low-Dose Centers for Excellence program for CT has expanded to four collaborating healthcare institutions.

Elkhart General Hospital in Indiana has joined previous program members Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Md.; Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond; and University of Minnesota Medical Center in Fairview. The organizations are working with Siemens to develop processes and protocols to reduce patient CT radiation dose, improve outcomes and optimize clinical operations.

The CT Low-Dose Centers for Excellence program was launched by Siemens in 2010. The core commitment of the program is patient care and designing best industry practices with Siemens’ customers in divergent clinical settings.
