Eastman Kodak Company, a sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Team, has donated its digital x-ray and information systems to assist medical professionals in providing on-site care for athletes living and training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. The combined value of the equipment, installation, training and services provided by Kodak is valued at over $1.1 million.
IBA Molecular has begun distribution of PET radiopharmaceuticals from its new site in Roma, Italy. This facility is the latest addition to the company’s distribution network – now including 34 radiopharmacies across the globe. The new facility will serve the central portions of Italy, the company said.
Donald Rucker, MD, vice president and chief medical officer at Siemens Medical Solutions has been appointed as a commissioner of the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT). In this post, Rucker will be working to review criteria and inspection processes for certification of healthcare information technology (HIT) systems.
