Industry round-up: ASRT, Hee Young, Matrox, Secured eMail, SmartPill Corp.
The American Society of Radiologic Technologists announced the promotion of two of its senior staff members. DuVonne Campbell was promoted from vice president of member services to executive vice president and chief customer officer. Formerly the vice president of communications, Nora J. Tuggle is now the executive vice president and chief marketing and communications officer for ASRT.
 
Campbell, who has been a registered radiologic technologist for more than 35 years, joined ASRT in 1995, where she started in the Customer Information Department. In 1998, she became the director of government relations, and later, the vice president of member services. Prior to ASRT, she worked to develop and open a free-standing MRI facility in Kansas City.
 
Tuggle, a former Marine Corps public affairs officer, newspaper editor and columnist, has more than 30 years combined media, corporate and association experience.
 

Matrox Graphics announced that the AlphaView line of medical LCD displays manufactured by Hee Young Co. will be shipping with Matrox MED Series display controller boards. The HYC Alphaview displays represent the North American version of HYC’s Lumimed displays, sold in other regions around the world. AlphaView is a cost-effective, full line of DICOM-compliant color and grayscale medical displays. Available with resolutions of 1.3 to 5 megapixels (MP), the line features a five-year standard warranty.


Secured eMail announced the availability of Workshare Protect for Secured eMail ePrivacy Suite Enterprise, a client-based outbound content monitoring and email encryption platform developed using the Workshare Ready SDK. The integrated solution automatically discovers and encrypts sensitive information at desktop level, such as intellectual property and private customer, HR and financial information, based on content risk policy. Sensitive information can include personally identifiable information such as Social Security numbers (SSNs) and passwords, custom and pre-defined policies regulations such as for HIPAA, CA SB1386, EU Data Protection Act, Sarbanes Oxley and others.


SmartPill Corp. has hired Tom Woodbridge as vice president of Manufacturing. Woodbridge will be a member of SmartPill’s senior management team and will be responsible for the company’s manufacturing process, day-to-day management of the supply chain, operations and information technology. Woodbridge brings over two decades of senior operations and manufacturing management experience to the position. Prior to working at SmartPill, he was director of operations at Fluke Biomedical, a manufacturer of radiation measurement and test equipment, in Cleveland, Ohio. Before that, he was a senior manager at various divisions of 3M, Philips Medical, Siemens and Honeywell.
