SmartPACS and Infinitt Co. Ltd., who developed a professional partnership in 2000, signed a memorandum of understanding this week that is a prelude to a joint venture agreement to be signed by the end of 2005.
   
Both companies develop, provide, and market PACS and 3D systems for the medical imaging market.
   
The joint venture will help SmartPACS and Infinitt to grow their business, the companies said. Within the memorandum of understanding, the companies established action dates and timelines, as well as business and marketing plans. A board of directors was also formulated.
