International sales boost SonoSite's 2003 results

Growth of its international operations and sales of its new Titan hand-carried ultrasound system powered SonoSite Inc. to greater revenues in 2003.

Revenues advanced 16 percent to $84.8 million, compared with $73 million in 2002. The company also reduced its net loss to $1.8 million, compared with a net loss of $7.7 million in 2002.

SonoSite introduced Titan in the middle of 2002 and accounted for 45 percent of the company's worldwide revenues in the fourth quarter. SonoSite also estimated its total installed base at 14,000 systems worldwide.

The company added that it is targeting increased revenues of approximately 25 percent this year.
