iSOFT notches i.CM placement
U.K.-based healthcare software systems developer iSOFT said that clinical staff at Mid Staffordshire General Hospitals NHS Trust in England are ordering tests and x-rays and getting results online with its i.Clinical Manager (i.CM) application. The two-month pilot project started this month on two wards at the Staffordshire General Hospital.
Roll-out of i.CM to around 60 areas including wards, outpatient departments, and clinics at the Staffordshire General and Cannock Chase Hospitals is scheduled to begin in September. The application allows doctors, nurses and other clinical staff to order pathology tests and radiology examinations online as well as receive results of the studies.
