iSOFT releases real-time speech recognition for RIS
RadCentre RIS from iSOFT, an IBA company, now offers real-time speech recognition. With the new feature, dictations appear instantly as screen text to produce critical radiology reports and share patient diagnoses more quickly, according to iSOFT.
RadCentre, which integrates with the SpeechMagic technology from Philips Speech Recognition Systems, features Intelligent Speech Interpretation to produce accurate radiology reports with a minimum of human intervention.
According to the Oxfordshire, England-based company, RadCentre not only recognizes words but also understands the context, and is able to ignore dialogue that is not part of the dictation, implement dictated corrections and rephrase sentences. The software can also fill information into forms, and formats and organizes text to produce usable reports.
