Kodak releases low-dose film
Eastman Kodak Co.'s Health Imaging Group announced that its Hyper Speed G Medical Film that can reduce patients' radiation exposure by up to 50 percent is now available in the United States and Canada.

The new Kodak Hyper Speed G Medical Film will be manufactured in standard sizes and will be available in Europe, Latin American and Asia in May, the company said. The film will be marketed through authorized Kodak distributors.

In addition to reducing radiation dose, Kodak said the film's increased speed will also reduce the need for retakes when images are blurred due to patient motion.
