Eastman Kodak Company showed a range of digital mammography systems and debuted new RIS mammography technology as a “works in progress” at RSNA 2006.
Kodak announced at the show that its CR-based mammography platform has entered the final phases of regulatory review in the United States. The Kodak CR platform has been on the market for more than a year in Australia, Europe, Latin America and Asia. The platform is currently offered as an option with Kodak DirectView CR 850, CR 950 and CR 975 systems.

Additional Kodak mammography technology featured at RSNA included: a WIP  computer-aided detection (CAD) application for Kodak’s CR-based mammography platform; multi-modality breast imaging workstations integrated with third-party CAD software for ultrasound and MRI equipment as works in progress; and Kodak Carestream radiology solutions and information management solutions that meet the needs of mammography service providers.
