KOM Networks, Hyland offer storage system aimed at regulatory compliance
Storage management software vendor KOM Networks and Hyland Software, developer of OnBase enterprise content management (ECM) software, announced Monday their latest product integration between Hyland’s OnBase and KOM Networks’ KOMworx patented (e-WORM) Hard Disk Archiving technology, the companies said in a release.

The combined system is designed to enable organizations to securely store files as well as comply with regulatory requirements and corporate governance guidelines while restricting access to the archive repository to any unauthorized third party.

KOMworx e-WORM system can transform standard disk-based hardware into non-rewriteable, non-erasable WORM storage media designed to meet both best practices and the most stringent government regulations in achieving compliance. KOM Networks developed the e-WORM system based on a patented technology, which transparently archives files to RAID arrays and other hard disks for long-term data retention.
