Losses continue in Q2 for Optio
In the second quarter of fiscal 2008, Optio Software of Alpharetta, Ga., has remained in the red.

The healthcare software company has reported a net loss of $1.1 million on $6.6 million in revenue, which with a net loss of loss per share was five cents, compared with a loss per share of 2 cents in the second quarter of 2007.

"We anticipated an increase in revenues from our business process improvement solutions this quarter; however, these products, while contributing to the revenue for the quarter, have not generated revenue as quickly as we expected," said Wayne Cape, chairman, president and CEO of Optio.

Through two quarters, Optio had a net loss of $2.3 million, or a loss of 10 cents a share, on $12.9 million in revenue, which compares with a net loss of $504,000, or a loss per share of two cents, on $13.6 million in revenue through two quarters of 2007.
