MagView unveils two new applications for software line
MagView unveiled at RSNA 2006 new enhanced features available in Mammography Information System version 5.4, including a patient tablet collecting system and a web portal scheduling tool.
The new web portal extends secure remote access to referring physicians, and staff using MagView throughout the enterprise. Referring physicians can access reports, follow-up lists and other information related to referred patients. Other remote functions, such as scheduling, dictation and transcription, can also be facilitated using the MagView web portal.
According to MagView, the tablet PC patient history collection module was designed at the request of clients and patients wanting to have an electronic, paperless method for accurately capturing patient history, allowing for faster patient throughput and less waiting time by the patient. Using the tablet PC patient history feature, each facility can define the questions they wish to ask the patient and the type of information they want to collect. When a patient arrives at the breast center, the front desk personnel can verify the patient’s identity, provide them with a tablet PC, and ask them to answer each question as it comes up.
