Mass Financial has updated its lawsuit in the Supreme Court of British Columbia in Canada, to seek injunctive relief and substantial damages against Elekta of Stockholm, Sweden, and others for breach of contract and contract interference.

Michael Smith, president of Mass Financial, said the lawsuit involves the proprietary magneto-encephalography technologies of its subsidiary VSM Medical.

Elekta and a key employee of Elekta are the currently named defendants in the case. When contacted, a company spokesperson declined to comment on the lawsuit’s update. 

According to the press release from Mass Financial, both companies are now represented by Borden Ladner Gervais of Toronto.
