McKesson introduces new ECG module
At ACC 2007 in New Orleans, McKesson introduced an ECG Management module for its Horizon Cardiology, a fully integrated, web-enabled, electrocardiography (ECG) waveform data management product that enables clinicians to simultaneously view or complete ECG exams along with all other cardiovascular procedures from one system. The module is built to enable physicians to confirm ECG exams from remote locations.

The company’s Horizon Cardiology addresses interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular radiology, hemodynamic monitoring, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound and nuclear cardiology. Its infrastructure is designed to boost productivity and improve throughput in the cardiology department along with better, safer decisions for patient care.

The introduction of the ECG module follows last year’s introduction of McKesson’s Horizon Cardiology Hemo hemodynamic monitoring system. The solution enables cardiologists to expedite patient charting and final reporting, the company said.
