Medical transcription services and software provider MD-IT had added a new regional office with the acquisition of medical transcription service provider DataKey MT of Baltimore.

For the purchase of DataKey, its owner, Laurie Spangler-Rucks, has received a combination of cash and stock in the transaction and has been named MD-IT’s managing director of the new Baltimore office.

MD-IT specializes in serving physician offices and ambulatory clinics.
