TomoTherapy has partnered with Medical Intelligence, an Elekta company, to enhance the TomoTherapy Hi-Art treatment system’s stereotactic radiosurgery capabilities. The partnership was announced this week at the annual meeting of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology in Los Angeles.

TomoTherapy Hi-Art treatment system with a head frame fixation and repositioning device is a works-in-progress prototype to be developed through the partnership, reported the Madison, Wis.-based TomoTherapy.

The Germany-based Medical Intelligence joins a number of companies who have signed on to develop products for the Hi-Art treatment system, according to Del Coufal, vice president of marketing for TomoTherapy.
