Medima upgrades PacsPrinter
Medima has updated its PacsPrinter with new capabilities for use with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) VistA Imaging systems' applications.

The VA has approved PacsPrinter to meet its digital storage requirements for clinical systems, such as DEXA and thyroid uptake tests, that must provide results and outputs archived in a paperless format, according to the Leiden, Netherlands-based company.

PacsPrinter has an interface kit that allows OEMs of clinical systems to meet the requirements with little impact on existing workflow protocols, Medima said. PacsPrinter is designed to electronically capture and file patient documents with the image files generated by current generation PACS.
