MediNotes, a West Des Moines, Iowa-based electronic medical record (EMR) systems developer, announced today that it has surpassed 4,000 medical offices using its EMR, MediNotes e. Of the 4,000 small- to mid-size medical offices that deployed MediNotes' EMR, the firm stated that it has sold more than 18,500 individual licenses.

MediNotes also said that the overall implementation and usage success rate for the deployed systems exceeds 94 percent. The application, originally marketed in 1996 as an EMR for podiatrists, has expanded to include support for 17 disciplines, including family practice and general medicine, according to the company.
