Medison combines form and function in new ultrasound product
Dec. 3—Medison America introduced a multimodality ultrasound product for OB/GYN and radiology needs at the 93rd scientific assembly and annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago last week.

According to Marc Gallin, marketing manager for the Cypress, Calif.-based Medison, with the launch of the Accuvix V10 line of ultrasound systems, the company has added new technology to their ultrasound products to increase diagnostic accuracy. “Before [Accuvix] we focused primarily on software – now we want the ability to process faster as well as produce new software.”

The new technology includes speckle reduction filters, full spectrum imaging, Dynamic MR and is capable of 2D, 3D and 4D technologies. Gallin said the V10 shortens diagnostic time due to its faster processors and high resolution images are viewed on its 17-inch, 1280 x 1024 LCD display.

The V10 has a console layout within palm range and the LCD display is set on an articulating arm for operator convenience, “delivering both efficiency and comfort to users,” according to Gallin.
