Medison America demonstrated the latest in its top-line black and white ultrasound systems, SonoAce X4, at RSNA 2006 in Chicago last month. The system features full-spectrum imaging, synthetic aperture, tissue harmonic imaging, a high dynamic range of 150 dB, free-hand 3D and 3D multiplanar imaging, as well as speedy scanning. The system also offers post gain control and high-resolution zoom, the company said.

And that’s not all, the system also has a silent fan, intelligent grouping keys and four probe holders. As for data management components, the system’s include CD R/W drive, DICOM compatibility, four USB ports and Flash memory.

According to the company, Q1 2007 will see the release of the next SonoAce X8. The company was very hush hush about details, but we can say that it is currently under FDA review.
