Mercury Computer Systems Inc. and NVIDIA Corp. have entered a joint agreement to develop and deliver image processing technologies for the life sciences and geosciences markets.

Mercury and NVIDIA said they have developed and will deliver a robust set of offerings based on the NVIDIA Quadro graphics processors, Mercury's family of imaging software products, and new hardware platforms that leverage the full power of multiple GPUs for imaging applications. The complementary technologies are designed to provide advances in 3D image processing and visualization that reach beyond the current applications of interactive experience in the realm of life sciences, geosciences, biotechnology and simulation, the companies said.
