Misys features integration module, reveals new customer
Misys Healthcare Systems was on board at AHRA 2004 this week in Boston showcasing its new Misys PACS Integration Module that connects a healthcare organization's RIS, the various modalities and PACS to communicate in the same language without a broker.

According to Misys, Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, Pa., has signed an agreement to purchase Misys PACS Integration Module in addition to Misys Image Management system. The two systems will interface with the already installed Misys Radiology. Misys said the 233-bed non-profit community hospital is among the first Misys clients to deploy all three Misys Optimum applications.

Misys Radiology and Misys Image Management, a web-based PACS powered by eRad/ImageMedical, are traditionally two separate systems connected via a translation broker. Misys PACS integration module technology eliminates the need for a translation broker.
