Misys Healthcare Systems has united two of its business units that focus on electronic medical record (EMR) systems and practice management systems to better align its resources to meet the growing needs of its physician practice market space.

The Physician Systems business unit, which provides EMR systems and practice management technology for small- to medium-sized medical practices, and the Physician Enterprise Systems business unit, which offers similar products for larger medical organizations, will now operate as one entity under the Physician Systems name.
   
Misys has named Rob Kill, president of the former Physician Enterprise Systems business unit, as president for the new group.
