NAS reports revenue uptick, net income loss downturn
North American Scientific (NAS) has reported an increase in revenue and a smaller net loss in its fiscal fourth quarter, which ended on Oct. 31, 2007.

For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2007, the company reported revenues from continuing operations of approximately $4.2 million, a 25 percent increase over the fourth quarter of the prior year, and a net loss of $3.9 million, including $800,000 related to the discontinued operations of the Nomos Radiation Oncology business.

The Chatsworth, Calif.-based NAS said its fourth quarter loss represented a 36 percent decrease, as compared to the net loss for the fourth quarter of the prior fiscal year, primarily due to a reduced loss relating to the discontinued Nomos operations.

For 2007 fiscal year, the company reported the net loss of $27 million, compared with the net loss for fiscal 2006 of $17.1 million.
