NCD, EDCO partner
National Consulting and Development Corp. (NCD) has partnered with EDCO - The Document People Inc. of Springfield, Miss. to offer EDCO x-ray film and record storage services (SecureStore) and enable EDCO to offer NCD's image/data hosting services (e-WIX).
The relationship will provide medical facilities an opportunity to have x-ray film physically stored in a highly secure and environmentally controlled underground storage facility with either same day electronic return delivery or next day physical return delivery, the companies said.
Electronic x-ray images will be provided by digitizing hardcopy x-ray film to DICOM format image which then will be delivered via e-mail to the facilities system or transferred to the e-WIX repository service where it would be available to authorized subscribers.
The service is also available for documents/records as well, using the same process, the companies said.
The companies already do business in the healthcare industry and the partnership expands service offerings in this market. NCD also operates NCD Medical Corp. and is a reseller of Radiology Diagnostic Systems. EDCO's primary business is the conversion and storage of medical records.
