NEC introduces an assortment of displays
NEC Display Solutions of America demonstrated its NEC 5 MP grayscale diagnostic display at RSNA 2006 in Chicago. The display possesses X-Light technology for doctors to compare images side-by-side at the same level of brightness.

The company also showcased some wide-screen displays, the 24 inch LCD240WUXi and the 26 inch LCD2690WUXi, both a part of the NEC 90 series. The displays are SpectalView II and GammaComp MD-compatible, and offer HDCP (high bandwidth digital content protection). The displays also offer continual, consistent brightness through a new feature called X-Light Pro.

The company also demonstrated an assortment of 2MP monitors, one model that offers a wide screen view while the other brings flexibility with numerous input/output slots that can accept a variety of add-on boards.

NEC also demonstrated its 57-inch MultiSync LCD5710 wide-screen monitor, one of the largest commercial LCDs on the market today. The LCD5710 contains NEC’s Digital Signage Technology Suite (DSTS), a set of more than 30 features and functions developed specifically for the digital signage market.
