NEC launches new LCD modules
NEC LCD Technologies has introduced two 21.3-inch, amorphous-silicon color, thin-film-transistor LCD modules for medical use.
One module (NL160120AC27-20) has an ultra-extended graphics array resolution with brightness of 950 candela per square meter (cd/m2 ) and the other (NL204153AC21-09) has a quad-extended graphics array resolution with brightness of 800 cd/m2.
Both products have direct back-lighting, wide viewing angles and a high contrast ratio that are conducive for medical image diagnosis, according to the Tokyo-based NEC.
