New Products: Cingular Wireless, Fenics, HP, Matrox
HP and Cingular Wireless announced availability of the first notebook PC in the United States to feature built-in global mobile broadband capabilities. The HP Compaq nc6400 Notebook PC with integrated Cingular Wireless UMTS/HSDPA-based technology allows business professionals to connect in more areas at broadband speeds to corporate networks, email and the Internet without being tied to a wireless hotspot. Customers will be able to utilize mobile broadband both in the United States and abroad in more than 115 countries in which there are UMTS or GPRS/EDGE networks available.


Matrox Graphics announced that Fenics has completed its Intelligent Diagnosis System software for mammography, equipped with viewing consoles, ACR classification helping tools and computer aided detection (CAD), developed on Matrox display controller boards for medical imaging, and supporting the 10-bit simultaneous output display capability of the Matrox MED Series and Matrox AuroraVX Series 10-bit display controller boards. This 10-bit medical imaging software is now available on the market from Fenics and was developed using Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) software development toolkit on Matrox Graphics display boards for medical imaging. The Fenics Intelligent Diagnosis System software is equipped with mechanisms that allow the user to view prior and current images simultaneously for analysis, and features a unique mirror function that supports zoom, window & level, dynamics contrast, and a host of other functions to both images on two separate 5 MP grayscale displays simultaneously at 10-bits per pixel output.
