Nighthawk Radiology books Q2 revenue, income drop

Nighthawk Radiology has reported that revenues declined slightly in the second quarter of fiscal 2009, compared with the same quarter for fiscal 2008.

Nighthawk, a Coeur D'Alene, Idaho-based teleradiology provider, posted revenues of $42.3 million for the quarter ending June 30, a decrease of .07 percent from the $42.8 million in revenues the company posted in the same quarter last year The company booked a net income of $2.09 million in the second quarter of 2009, compared with a net income of $2.77 million for the same period last year.

NightHawk said that its total volume reached a new high of approximately 817,000 scans during the quarter.
