NightHawk replaces CEO
The board of directors at NightHawk Radiology Holdings, a provider of radiology solutions to radiology groups and hospitals, has approved a plan to reshuffle members of senior management.

Effective Nov. 15, Paul E. Berger, MD, resigned as CEO and will be succeeded by David M. Engert, a NightHawk director and member of its audit, nominating and corporate governance committees since April 30. Berger will continue to serve as non-executive chairman of the board and will work with Engert over the next several months to ensure a smooth transition, according to the Coeur D'Alene, Idaho-based company.

Engert has more than 25 years of senior management experience in the healthcare and technology industries, most recently as president, CEO and a member of the board of directors of Quality Care Solutions, a provider of healthcare payor enterprise application solutions, which was acquired by Trizetto in January 2007. Prior to that, Engert served as senior vice president and general manager of the managed care group and then revenue cycle management at McKesson.
