National Imaging Resources (NIR) has inked agreements with iCAD Inc. and CompuMed Inc. to distribute both companies' products.
More than 30 NIR member resellers will market, sell and support iCAD's computer-aided detection (CAD) line. The pact covers iCAD's MammoReader and MammoReader II CAD systems to hospitals, women's health centers and mammography clinics, along with iCAD's new iCAD iQ system designed for breast centers with smaller daily patient volumes.
Willoughby, Ohio-based NIR's pact with CompuMed is for five years. CompuMed's OsteoGram is a software-based computer imaging system that enables healthcare providers to screen, diagnose and monitor osteoporosis using either a conventional, film-based hand x-ray or a digital image from filmless x-ray equipment. CompuMed recently developed a DICOM version for use on digital imaging platforms.
