Nomos releases dose adjustment tools for Corvus
The Nomos Radiation Oncology Division of North American Scientific Inc. this week introduced ActiveRX, new real dose adjustment tools incorporated in the latest version of the company's flagship intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) inverse treatment planning software, Corvus 6.

ActiveRx provides a set of fully automated, interactive tools that empower clinicians to directly manipulate dose volumes in real time, as a result reducing planning cycles from minutes to seconds, Nomos said.

Corvus with ActiveRx also allows clinicians to 'draw' isodose lines directly on CT scans, interactively 'push' dose out of sensitive structures, and 'click and drag' to adjust dose to planning volumes, according to the company.
