Optio sees jump in revenue, with drop in fiscal year income
Process automation software provider Optio Software reported strong fiscal year financial results for the Q4 and for the fiscal year ended in January.
Total revenue for the Q4 2006 rose 7 percent to $8.2 million from $7.7 million in the prior quarter. Software license revenues also went up 7 percent to $3.1 million in the quarter, compared to $2.9 million in fiscal 2005. Optio's subscription licensing contracts contributed $588,000 to Q4 revenues, compared to $513,000 in the prior year's same quarter.
Net income for Q4 fiscal 2006 was $738,000, a 141 percent increase from net income of $305,000 in the prior-year quarter. For fiscal 2006, net income was $898,000, a decline from net income of $1.7 million in fiscal 2005.
