OrthoView displayed its preoperative planning tool for orthopedic surgeons at SIIM 2007 in Providence, R.I., earlier this month. The solution, sold directly and through partners, allows for scaling of digital images for greater accuracy. A set of intuitive Wizards support the planning process. OrthoView contains a high quality and large range of digital templates from all the major orthopedic implant manufacturers.

OrthoView version 5 will begin shipping shortly.  After feedback from Orthopaedic surgeons, they have added to the Trauma module a facility to visualise the bending of trauma templates on screen. The latest release also includes a new Limb Deformity Module.   This allows for planning of full leg and single shaft osteotomies and templating of internal and external fixators, including support for the Taylor Spatial Frame.
