Oxford awarded more than $3M for cancer imaging
Cancer Research UK, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Medical Research Council (MRC), has awarded the University of Oxford £2 million ($3.49 million U.S.), as part of a nationwide, five-year investment in cancer imaging.

The university said that the money will be used to develop cancer imaging technologies, such as MRI and PET, as well as equipment to allow scientists to watch cells in action by tracing radioactive biomarkers injected into patients, the BBC reported.
